El Campo De Logroño

My advice is don’t look at google earth or photos of this course as they don’t do it justice. Before I played this I thought it may be flat and a little boring but it was a revelation. It’s only 10 minutes out of the large city of Logrono and you would think you are in the wilderness. Undulating fairways, individual holes in their own valley so you don’t see another hole whilst you are playing the one you are on. A Monte Rei feel to it in some respects. A challenge for all handicaps from a scratch player to myself to my partner off 22. The greens were receptive and true and about 9 on the stimp which is what most golfers can cope with and require. The clubhouse prices were very reasonable and a beautiful view over the course from the balcony. Plenty of parking and the practice facilities are everything you require. If you are travelling up and down Spain from the ferry ports or travelling to Spain from France or vice versa make sure you stop off for wine tasting and a lovely game of golf.
