Tanka Golf & Country Club, a course of rare beauty designed by Luigi Rota Caremoli, one of the most famous Italian designers, is contained in a natural setting, where the smell of salty air mingles with the scents of Mediterranean scrub that grows on the coast of Villasimius called, not surprisingly, Polynesia of the Mediterranean. The course, open all year, was awarded in 2007 by magazine “ The World of Golf” as best new golf course in Italy and unfolds on a surface of 40 acres overlooking the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara. The course is located just an hour from Cagliari airport and is reachable with the panoramic secondary road No. 17 or with the new ss 125, south-east direction.
