Golf in France
The fact that France believes in golf is quite clear because of the successful bid and organization of the Ryder Cup in 2018 at Le Golf National. This course is owned by FFGolf (the French golf federation) and a lot of money has been invested in the new Ryder Cup course L'Albatros. In total there are 664 golf clubs in France. The best golf courses in France are: Golf de Morfontaine, Terre Blanche, Les Aisses Golf, Golf De Fontainebleau, Le Château de Taulane and Le Golf National. You can stay in France in some of Europe's best golf resorts such as Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort, Domaine De Manville, Golf du Medoc Hotel, Les Domaines de Saint Endreol Golf & Spa Resort and Royal Mougins. Temperatures in France can vary considerably from the North to the South. The best period for golf in France is from May to October. In summertime, it can get quite hot, especially in the South of France. During the summer it can also be quite busy, especially in French hotels and (golf) resorts. Prices are considerably higher during the holiday season.

Golf De Morfontaine
Playing at Morfontaine is a dream come true for every golfer. I think the most accurate way to describe Morfontaine is that each of the 27 holes, they have the 18 holes Grand Parcours and the 9 holes Valliere, can be the signature hole on a very good course. The design by Tom Simpson (renovated by Kyle Phillips) is so good that on every tee you stand in awe. The unexpecte…

Les Bordes Golf
Les Bordes was founded by Baron Le Bich (the founder of BIC ballpoints) and a Japanese friend of his. The Old Course is designed by Robbert von Hagge and probably one of the toughest courses I ever played. Currently they are finishing the New Course (18 holes) and The Wild Piglet (a 10 Hole short course) both by Gil Hanse. I think those will be excellent additions for Les…

UGOLF Courson
Prac…

Racing Club de France - La Boulie
Our visit to Golf de la Boulie - Racing Club de France has left us with mixed feelings. We were on our way to the Ryder Cup (on Sunday) and decided to play a course on Saturday before heading to our hotel. By checking some courses on Leadingcourses near Paris we decided to go to La Boulie. We called them on our way to Paris and they said that it would be possible to play …
